The city administration of Osh has announced plans to build a new plant that will produce electricity from waste.
It has been reported that local authorities signed a concession agreement with a well-known Chinese company in the field of environmental technologies, "Jiunxin Huanbao Ke Ji Invest." The document was signed by Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev and the company's General Director Dai Daogo.
According to the terms of the agreement, a modern solid waste processing plant will be created, capable of recycling up to 310,000 tons of waste annually and generating electricity.
It is important to note that the new plant will fully comply with environmental standards and will not emit harmful substances into the atmosphere.
"In the coming days, we plan to hold a ceremony for laying the first capsule. We expect the plant to start its operations by the end of 2027," the city administration added.
