The celebration was attended by the vice-mayor of the city, Nurlan Zakirov, staff from the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan, as well as local residents.
During his speech, the deputy mayor emphasized that the legacy of Alisher Navoi holds key significance for the Turkic world. “Today we have gathered to honor the memory of the great thinker, wise poet, and statesman. This day is important not only for the Uzbek people but for all who value his spiritual heritage. In Navoi's works, the ideas of justice, humanity, the pursuit of knowledge, and service to the people are celebrated,” he noted.
