"Demolition of the cemetery in Novopavlovka is unacceptable." The petition already has a thousand signatures.
The author of the petition, addressing Colonel General Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich Tashiev, emphasized that for many residents of Novopavlovka, this issue is personal. "I and my acquaintances in the village have 15-20 graves of relatives," he noted, urging attention to the seriousness of the situation.
The letter also states that the demolition of the cemetery, which serves as the final resting place for many citizens, has caused outrage and protest among local residents. The cemetery, where parents and grandparents are buried, has become a subject of public concern.
The author emphasizes the importance of preserving cultural heritage and safety: "Our initiative is aimed at protecting this historical and cultural site and preventing possible social conflicts. We propose to discuss alternative development options for the area that will not affect the cemetery," he added.
It should be noted that in the Novopavlovka area, there are plans to construct a road that may pass through the cemetery, the last burial of which is dated for 2024. The road is intended to alleviate traffic on the way to the new Osh market, the Western bus station, and Manas Airport.
Earlier, it was reported that the villagers received information from the municipal territorial administration No. 106 about the ongoing construction of the road on Profsoyuznaya Street. The MTA noted that two options are currently being considered — laying the road through the cemetery or around it, but a final decision has not yet been made.
