Residents of the village of Novopavlovka received a notification from the municipal territorial administration No. 106 regarding plans to construct a road on Profsoyuznaya Street. The message from the MTU revealed that two options are being considered: laying the road through the cemetery or bypassing its territory.
The mailing also emphasizes that information about possible payments of 100,000 soms for burial and the obligation of relatives to cover the costs of reburial is not true. It is not about the complete relocation of the cemetery, but only about the partial relocation of burials within 10 meters in the zone of high-voltage poles.
The municipality also urges residents to help find relatives from the list that was provided:
“In light of the spread of false information, we find it important to provide official clarifications.
Currently, options for constructing the road through the cemetery or around it are being discussed. The information being circulated that the costs of reburial will be imposed on relatives is false.
It is also incorrect that each relative will receive 100,000 soms for the burial.
If the road passes through the cemetery intersecting with the high-voltage line, it will run between two poles. Relocation of burials is only possible within 10 meters on each side of the poles, considering the necessary clearance.
In this regard, we ask you not to worry, as this does not involve the relocation of the entire cemetery.
To prevent the spread of false information, a decision has been made to create a WhatsApp group for relatives whose burials are in the zone of high-voltage poles and within 10 meters on both sides of them, to ensure timely receipt of current information.
Do not trust unverified data. All official information can be obtained from the Bishkek Funeral Services Agency (BARU) and from MTU No. 106.”
The municipal administration also asks residents to help find relatives from the distributed list:

Local residents express confusion: if the issue of road construction has not yet been resolved, then why compile lists of the deceased and search for their relatives?
We remind you that road construction is underway in the area of the village, which may pass through the cemetery, the last burial of which is dated 2024. According to the plan, the new road is intended to alleviate traffic flows to the new Osh market, the Western bus station, and Manas airport.
