Residents of Pamir-Alai proposed to install a symbolic stele at the checkpoint "Kyzyl-Art" on the border with Tajikistan

Residents of the Pamir-Alai rural district of the Alay region in the Osh province raised issues regarding roads, water, and requested the installation of a stele at the "Kyzyl-Art" checkpoint.

According to reports, a meeting with residents was held on February 6 at the building of the rural administration of the Pamir-Alai rural district, attended by the akim of the Alay region, Chyngyz Bapaev.

During the meeting, residents raised problematic issues concerning roads, water, infrastructure improvement, and land transformation, as well as expressed comments and suggestions.

Additionally, local residents requested the installation of a symbolic stele at the "Kyzyl-Art" checkpoint, located on the border with Tajikistan.
The head of the rural administration, Kutmanali Anarbaev, also informed residents about the work completed in 2025 and shared plans for 2026.

The "Kyzyl-Art" checkpoint [“Bor-Dobo — road”] is situated at an altitude of 4,336 meters.



There are 5 checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border:

- "Kyzyl-Bel – road" (Batken district),

- "Kulundu – road" (Leilek district),

- "Kairagach – road" (Leilek district),

- "Karamyk – road" (Chon-Alai district of Osh province),

- "Bor-Dobo – road" (Chon-Alai district of Osh province).
