In Kyrgyzstan, cashless payments increased by 35 percent at two checkpoints
The Ministry notes that thanks to improvements in the system and enhanced control, the share of cashless transactions has significantly increased. Currently, 98 percent of all payments are made cashless.
“This approach has helped reduce the influence of the human factor and eliminate corruption risks. In addition, projects to expand traffic lanes have been successfully implemented at the "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kul" checkpoints. The construction of additional lanes at the "Sosnovka" checkpoint has been completed, and at "Kara-Kul," work aimed at improving capacity and ensuring the roadway meets necessary technical requirements was fully completed in 2025.
