
A solemn ceremony was held in Bishkek to inaugurate a new sports complex located at the Republican Sports College named after Sh. Sydykov. The event was attended by Kamchybek Tashiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State Committee for National Security, Colonel General. As part of the event, the renovated dormitory, mosque, and educational building of the college were also opened after major repairs.
Among those present at the ceremony were Buzurman Bagyshbekov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the college's management, teachers, coaches, and students. Tashiev emphasized that the future of the country depends on the development of sports and the importance of creating modern conditions for the youth.
The sports complex includes a wrestling hall equipped with modern mats and equipment for Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, spectator stands, a food court, a conference hall, and additional rooms for educational and training activities. There are also gyms, sports facilities, and a cardio zone for athletes' physical training. A mosque has been built on the college's premises.
The area of the college is 7.6 hectares and includes an academic building, a cafeteria, two sports complexes, an indoor swimming pool, halls for gymnastics and wrestling, two football fields, and two dormitories. The educational institution was founded in 1971 on the basis of an orphanage as the Republican Sports Boarding School named after N. Krupskaya, and in 2000 it was named after the famous sports figure Sheraly Sydykov.
