Kyrgyzstan to Expand Exports of Beans, Honey, and Dried Fruits to the Pakistani Market
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, where Deputy Minister Bekten Bekbolotov discussed cooperation issues with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan, Altamash Wazir Khan.
According to the agency's statement, the main focus was on the state and prospects of bilateral relations in agriculture, trade, and the halal industry. In particular, the expansion of Kyrgyz bean supplies to the Pakistani market was discussed.
Representatives from Pakistan expressed interest in exchanging experiences in dairy processing and the development of the dairy industry, proposing both short-term and long-term training programs under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), including courses on agriculture and forestry.
The parties agreed on the necessity of appointing contact persons, creating a joint working group of experts, and activating trade in honey and dried fruits. They also confirmed their readiness for further consultations on issues of mutual interest. "The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and confirmed the commitment to deepening cooperation," the ministry noted.
