Residents of the village of Kok-Jar are expressing their concerns regarding the construction of the southern bypass road in Bishkek. This information was shared by the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Dastan Bekeshev, who posted updates on his Telegram channel.

According to Bekeshev, local residents are worried that the new route will pass through their homes and agricultural lands.

“I held a meeting with representatives of the local akimat, investors, as well as specialists from the Ministry of Transport and Architecture to clarify the current situation,” the deputy reported.

It should be noted that the city hall previously stated that work on the southern bypass road project would only begin after the general plan of the city is approved. The road, according to plans, will start in the west near the car market and will pass through settlements such as Kun-Tuu, Baytik, Zarechnoye, Besh-Kungey, the Aala-Tuu state farm, and Novopokrovka.
