The construction of the Southern bypass road in Bishkek raises concerns among local residents of the village of Kok-Zhar.

According to deputy Dastan Bekeshev, people are afraid that the road will pass through their homes and agricultural lands. In response to these concerns, a meeting was organized, which included representatives of the akimat, investors, architects, and specialists from the Ministry of Transport.

As previously reported, the city hall clarified that the implementation of the Southern bypass road project will only start after the final approval of Bishkek's master plan. The road is expected to begin in the west near the car market and will pass through settlements such as Kun-Tuu, Baytik, Zarechnoye, Besh-Kungey, the state farm "Ala-Too," and Novopokrovka.
