A wire fence will be installed in the Kara-Suu district on the border with Uzbekistan.
As reported by the district administration, on January 31, 2026, the first deputy akim Arzibek Jusupov, along with representatives of the Border Service of the State National Security Committee, heads of various institutions, and local authorities, inspected the sections bordering Uzbekistan.
During the working trip, the commission members familiarized themselves with the situation in the border areas and discussed various issues. "Starting from March 2026, engineering arrangements are planned for certain sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. In this regard, instructions have been given to conduct explanatory work for the local population," the akimat noted.
The akim of the Kara-Suu district, Kanat Tabaldiev, told Turmush in an interview that in March, the Border Service will begin installing wire fencing along the border with Uzbekistan.
“During the inspection of the area, the commission noted the presence of agricultural buildings located at the border, as well as several houses, part of which fell into the border zone. Necessary decisions were made on-site,” the akim stated.
