In his opinion, the level of air pollution in Bishkek is not that high.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, Meder Mashiev, discussed the air quality in Bishkek.
“Over the past two years, the level of air pollution in Bishkek has decreased, although smog is still present. However, we do not believe that Bishkek should be ranked among cities with high pollution levels. Our situation is not that critical,” Mashiev noted.
He also added that one should not rely solely on the data from the international website IQAir, but rather use the official data provided by Kyrgyzhydromet.
