The condition of roads and bus stops discussed with residents of the village of Orok
A meeting was held in Bishkek with residents of the village of Orok, which became part of the Lenin district as a result of the administrative reform. The event discussed issues related to the development of transport infrastructure, as reported by the city administration.
Among the participants of the meeting were Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Janibek Abirov, Deputy of the Bishkek City Kenesh Tilek Asylbekov, Director of the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Ulanbek Beyshenbaev, Head of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" Talantbek Kaparov, as well as activists from Orok.
The residents raised numerous relevant questions concerning their daily lives. Special attention was given to the condition of the roads, the need for their repair, and the issue of the lack of bus stops.
As reported by Ulanbek Beyshenbaev, negotiations are currently underway with the Ministry of Transport and Communications regarding the restoration of the road network. He also added that the development of new bus stops is being carried out in cooperation with the relevant state institutions and local authorities, taking into account the needs of local residents and public transport routes.
Additionally, the meeting also discussed issues related to drivers' adherence to traffic rules and labor discipline.
The department noted that all proposals and identified problems will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for consideration, and work on their phased resolution will begin soon.
