A new center for children with Down syndrome has opened in Osh





Today, a grand opening of a new multifunctional resource center took place in Osh, established by the charitable foundation "Santerra-Yug." The main goal of the institution is to support children with Down syndrome, assist in their social integration, and provide comprehensive support for their parents.

The event was attended by the mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, who was able to familiarize himself with the center's work, interact with the children and their families, and participate in various activities.

In his speech, the mayor emphasized the importance of such social initiatives. Jenishbek Toktorbaev highlighted that supporting children with special needs, creating the necessary conditions for their full development, and ensuring equal rights are key priorities of the social policy of the Osh city administration.

According to information provided by representatives of the "Santerra-Yug" foundation, more than 300 families from the southern part of Kyrgyzstan are currently registered, 70 of whom live in Osh itself. The center is focused on developing independent living skills in children and provides parents with social, psychological, and informational assistance.
