At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Industrial Policy, Transport, Fuel and Energy Complex, Architecture, and Construction on February 3, Deputy Kylchayev raised the issue of the timeline for the start of renovation in Bishkek.

Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Talant Imanakun uulu reported that the process of approving the general plan is currently underway, after which the renovation will begin.

Kylchayev mentioned a fire that occurred in a multi-story building at 16 Ch. Aitmatov Avenue in November, which resulted in the roof burning down. The fire left residents without a roof over their heads.

He added: "After the fire, no repairs were made. People scattered, going their separate ways. The city administration provided assistance to ten families, while the others are temporarily living with relatives. We tried to repair the building ourselves, but we were not allowed to — all utilities were disconnected, and there is neither water nor electricity in the building," the deputy noted.

In this regard, Kylchayev urged the Ministry of Construction to pay attention to the situation and suggested adding this building to the renovation program.
