The introduction of AI in schools of Kyrgyzstan: from training teachers to the 'rehabilitation' of working professions

An expert predicts a rise in interest in the profession of plumber

In Kyrgyzstan, a comprehensive program for the introduction of artificial intelligence in schools is being launched, initiated by the Ministry of Education. Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva held a meeting with Zamir Akimbekov, the founder of Cayu AI, to discuss the plan for training teachers to use neural network technologies.

The project includes methodological recommendations for educators and the launch of a nationwide "AI Day" in educational institutions.

According to the invited expert, automation may lead to unexpected consequences: in the context of technological development in the country, there is an increase in the prestige of working professions. As noted by Akimbekov, who is involved in business optimization in the USA, in an era where AI takes center stage, the demand for skilled mechanics and plumbers may exceed the demand for office workers. This will create a need to strengthen the network of vocational lyceums in Kyrgyzstan.
