According to Kurmanov, the levels of responsibility and qualification requirements in aviation are much higher than in the automotive field. "Training a professional pilot takes time — no less than seven to ten years," he explained.
This training structure includes at least two years of theory, followed by 8-12 months of intensive practical flying, which is necessary to obtain an international pilot license.
During their training, cadets acquire not only aircraft control skills but also learn to make decisions in complex situations, interact with air traffic controllers, and adhere to international safety standards.
Kurmanov also noted that the widespread opinion on social media about the possibility of training a pilot in a month is a misconception: "This statement is not true and creates unnecessary tension in society. Pilots and drivers are completely different professions, and they cannot be compared. The difference between them is enormous," he emphasized.
He added that even driver training should be conducted with a high degree of responsibility, as it is directly related to road safety: "The quality of driver training affects the lives of passengers and other road users."
