
As of December 1, 2025, the permanent population of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 7 million 395 thousand people, according to a report from the National Statistical Committee.
From January to November 2025, the number of residents in the country increased by 112.8 thousand, which corresponds to a growth of 1.5%. The main reason for this growth was the natural increase in population.
According to information from the government agency "Kyzmat," from January to November 2025, 127.8 thousand newborns were registered in the civil registry offices, which is 19.0 per 1,000 people (in the same period of 2024, this figure was 19.9). At the same time, 29.3 thousand deaths were registered, or 4.4 per 1,000 people (for 2024 — 4.5).
Thus, the natural population increase amounted to 98.5 thousand, which is 19.0 per 1,000 residents (compared to 19.9 in January–November 2024).
The highest rates of natural population increase from January to November 2025 were recorded in the Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions, while Bishkek observed the lowest level of this indicator.
