The Ministry of Defense proposed to increase fees for alternative service
According to the agency, the current tariffs were established in 2017 and need adjustment considering economic changes and inflation.
The Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense has proposed to revise the amount of monetary fees for alternative service.
According to information from the agency, the current tariffs, in effect since 2017, require updating due to economic growth and inflationary processes.
At present, citizens undergoing alternative service for family reasons pay 18,000 soms, while those with health restrictions pay 25,000 soms.
The new initiative proposes to increase these fees to 25,000 and 50,000 soms, respectively. Additionally, those who undergo alternative service for religious beliefs will pay 50,000 soms.
