Morning raid in Osh: along Masaliev, the canal bank will be transformed and a park will be created
During the inspection, the mayor instructed to develop a landscaping concept that would transform both banks of the canal into a modern urban park. The project includes pedestrian paths, new greenery, and an updated recreational area accessible to all residents.
At the same time, Toktorbaev instructed city services to remove illegally constructed commercial facilities located on the edge of the canal or within its protective zone. It is necessary to bring the entire area into compliance with current architectural and environmental standards.
The mayor noted that the appearance of this area has hardly changed in the last 70–80 years: the greenery has aged, the shorelines have deteriorated, and the sidewalks have become narrow. According to him, it is essential to transform this area into a safe and aesthetically pleasing place for recreation.
Two main options are proposed for the landscaping:
• creating a promenade along the canal;
• widening the road with reinforced retaining walls and updated sidewalks.
Toktorbaev suggested replacing old trees with new ones, strengthening concrete structures, cleaning the shore, and considering modern lighting and small architectural elements. “It is necessary to make this place look beautiful, reliable, and durable. It should become part of the city, not an abandoned area,” the mayor emphasized.
