According to information provided by the Ministry of Ecology, the homeowner recorded the event on video and shared it with the public. The owner reported that the predator attacked his goat, and he went outside after hearing the dog barking. At that moment, the snow leopard had already caught its prey. This case is not an isolated incident: the predator had previously visited the yard as well.
“It is likely that this snow leopard was elderly, as it could not fully carry away its catch. This may indicate a natural decline in its hunting skills. The owner noted that the leopard periodically appears in the village, and traces of its presence can be found near some yards. This time, the predator headed towards the Teski pasture,” representatives of the Ministry added.
The Ministry urges residents to be attentive to wild animals, to follow safety measures, and to promptly report such incidents to the relevant authorities.
