500 meters of synthetic nets removed from the waters of Issyk-Kul
On February 1, a raid aimed at combating poaching took place at Lake Issyk-Kul, reports the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of the operation, over 500 meters of old synthetic fishing nets made in China were confiscated.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 3100 meters of illegally set nets have already been confiscated in this region.
The agency emphasizes that efforts to combat poaching are ongoing.
