Yesterday, January 31, the winter festival "Ak Ilbirs" took place in the picturesque Ak-Tash gorge, located in the rural district of Orgochor in the Jeti-Oguz region.

Nurdin Jusupov, the head of the Orgochor rural district, shared information about the event:

“We organized the festival in the Ak-Tash gorge, where a jade stone was discovered, as part of a program to develop the tourism sector. On the horizon is the implementation of a large-scale project, including the construction of modern capsule houses and A-frame houses. There are also plans to set up facilities for winter and summer sports. A fence and a glass dome will be installed around the 182-ton jade stone, allowing visitors to observe it from above. This project will be called ‘Sart Ake Recreation Area,’ and infrastructure for tourism will be created on 20 hectares of land,” he noted.
The district akim Ermek Bakhaidinov emphasized that the main goal of the festival is to develop the tourism industry and promote the picturesque places of Jeti-Oguz and the "seven wonders," highlighting the region's high potential for attracting tourists.

As part of the festival, a crafts exhibition and a food fair were organized. Teams of schoolchildren and kindergarten students presented their interpretations of "Ak Ilbirs" in various forms, holding a special competition where winners were awarded prizes.

On this day, guests could participate in sledding, tug-of-war, games of "ordo," salbuuurun, and archery. There was also an opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride and enjoy the views from above, and those interested could ride in horse-drawn sleighs.

The festival gathered about 4,000 tourists, both local and foreign.
