At the "Torugart" Checkpoint, a meeting was held with truck drivers from China, reminding them of the traffic rules in Kyrgyzstan.
This information was provided by the Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naryn region.
During the meeting, important aspects of traffic rule compliance were discussed. Customs officials and interpreters helped convey to the drivers the necessity of strictly adhering to established norms when entering Kyrgyzstan: not crossing into oncoming traffic, maintaining a safe distance, avoiding close proximity to one another, and especially being attentive while driving at night. The drivers were also handed out reminders in Chinese, which were displayed prominently at the customs control point.
In addition, educational work was carried out on the Bishkek—Naryn—Torugart highway, where foreign and local drivers were reminded of the need to avoid creating artificial traffic jams and entering oncoming lanes. Drivers were encouraged to maintain a culture of behavior on the road and show respect for one another.
