KR strengthens cooperation with Hungary within the framework of the student scholarship program

Gulzat Isamatova, the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovations, held a meeting with Sandor Dorogi, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the ministry's press service, current issues and future directions for cooperation in the field of science and education were discussed.

During the conversation, both sides expressed interest in updating the regulatory framework for cooperation and emphasized the importance of joint events planned for 2026, as well as the development of academic mobility and strengthening ties between universities.

In particular, attention was drawn to the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program launched by the Hungarian side, which provides citizens of Kyrgyzstan with the opportunity to study at prestigious universities in Hungary. It was previously reported that 200 quotas have been allocated for students from Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to deepen strategic partnership, expand educational exchanges, and develop scientific and technical cooperation, as well as identify key areas for joint work and agree on further interaction.
