According to his account, the artificial glacier was created in the Eski-Kainar area, which is located in the upper reaches of the village of Bokonbaev in the rural district of Kun-Chyghys. This place has 15-20 households, and the total area of land for agricultural use is about 60 hectares. “From spring to summer, we constantly lack water. Therefore, villagers named Sagyn and Altynbek suggested that we freeze the water that is currently going to waste in winter to create a reserve for the future. We wrote about this in the village group, but initially, no one took the idea seriously,” he noted.

“I brought a 150-meter hose to irrigate my apple orchard. When we started freezing the water, ice began to form actively, and soon large blocks appeared. People started collecting money: 15 households contributed 3,000 soms each to buy the hose, and now we continue the freezing process. Our goal is to ensure that not a drop of water is wasted; we are trying to freeze everything. Later, this ice will gradually melt and provide us with additional moisture. This year we started for the first time, beginning in mid-December, and if everything goes well, we intend to continue next year,” he added.
