In the Jogorku Kenesh, a proposal was made to grant amnesty for fines on cars purchased by power of attorney.
Thousands of Kyrgyz citizens are facing this problem
At today's parliamentary session, which took place on January 29, deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva proposed an initiative to amnesty fines for cars purchased by proxy.
She noted that this issue affects many citizens and has not yet found a solution.
According to the parliament member, "more and more appeals are coming from people who are unable to locate the previous owners of the cars. These vehicles are taken to impound lots, where owners are forced to pay between 100 to 150 soms daily. Some cars can remain there for years, while the old owners evade paying fines," she added.
