Among the main priorities were:
- prevention of non-communicable diseases;
- promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- strengthening immunization;
- protection of maternal and child health;
- reduction of maternal mortality;
- epidemiological control of infections;
- reforming the healthcare system.
Kanybek Dosmbetov expressed interest in support from the UN system for the modernization of healthcare institutions, expanding training and internship programs for healthcare workers abroad, as well as for sharing international experience.
Antje Grave noted that Kyrgyzstan is participating in a global project for digital transformation, which is being implemented with the support of UN agencies, and expressed readiness for further cooperation in the areas of digitalization, immunization, maternal and child health protection, reproductive health, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The parties also raised issues of strategic planning for the UN system for 2026-2027 and the preparation of a new five-year framework cooperation document for 2028-2032.
In conclusion, the participants confirmed their interest in strengthening partnerships and agreed to continue joint work for the sustainable development of the healthcare system.
