Recently, there has been an increase in cases of fraud targeting honorary consuls of foreign states in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that unknown fraudsters are sending messages or making calls, posing as the director of the Consular Department, S. Jumakadyrov uulu. They request urgent contact with a so-called "coordinator from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" to resolve various issues related to their work.
The Ministry emphasizes that such inquiries are not related to the agency and are fraudulent.
In this regard, the ministry strongly recommends that honorary consuls:
* be particularly vigilant;
* avoid communication with unfamiliar individuals;
* not disclose personal, official, or any other information;
* not click on suspicious links and not fulfill requests received through unofficial channels.
The Ministry reminds that interaction with the ministry should occur exclusively through official channels, such as official correspondence and diplomatic notes.
The ministry urges everyone to be attentive and rely only on verified official information.
