Kyrgyzstan and Austria Discussed the Opening of a Tourism School in Issyk-Kul

The issue of creating a tourism school in the Issyk-Kul region has become a topic of discussion between Kyrgyzstan and Austria. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education.
According to the ministry, a video conference was held with the participation of the Minister of Education of Kyrgyzstan, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, and representatives of the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development, including Dorothea Auer, as well as Michael Matiashitz from the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria and staff from the Klessheim Tourism College and the Austrian Technology Corporation.

During the meeting, the participants discussed areas of cooperation in vocational, technical, and tourism education, technology transfer issues, training specialists for the railway sector, and joint efforts to establish a tourism school at Issyk-Kul.

The participants also considered the organizational aspects of the educational process related to winter tourism and winter sports, discussing the stages of preparation and modernization of infrastructure, including possible reconstruction of buildings and the implementation of Austrian teaching methodologies taking into account the best international practices.
