Representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Austria discussed the establishment of a tourism school at Issyk-Kul
According to the press service of the Ministry, the purpose of this meeting was to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of vocational, technical, and tourism education, as well as issues related to technology transfer within the framework of the previously signed Joint Statement.
In addition to the minister, the online meeting was attended by her deputies Albert Mahmetkulov and Lira Samykbaeva, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Austria Nurchan Shaildabekova, as well as representatives from the Austrian side: Dorothea Auer from the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development and Michael Matiashitz from the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria, along with representatives from the Klessheim Tourism College and the Austrian Technology Corporation.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of previously reached agreements, cooperation in the field of tourism infrastructure, training specialists for the railway sector, and practical steps for establishing a tourism school in the Issyk-Kul region were discussed.
The participants also considered the organization of the educational process in the field of winter tourism and winter sports, the stages of preparing and developing infrastructure, including possible reconstruction of buildings and the implementation of Austrian teaching methods and international practices.
Dogdurkül Kendirbaeva emphasized the need for a detailed analysis of the issues related to the establishment of a tourism school and the significance of Austrian mentoring and methodological experience in this area.
The Austrian side expressed its readiness to provide practical and methodological assistance, including training personnel and support in creating an educational center based on modern models and technologies.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and move towards coordinating a Joint Action Plan.
