In Batken, a boy weighing nearly 6 kilograms was born. He was named Manas.
The birth took place on January 25 at the Kadamjai District Center for General Medical Practice. This is the third child in the Shamshieva family.
Initially, the newborn's condition raised concerns; however, both the mother and the baby are now feeling well. “We expected the baby's weight to be around 4.5 kilograms, but he turned out to be over 5 kilograms. The delivery was natural and quite quick. The newborn's condition was serious, but thanks to the efforts of the medical staff, he was transferred to the ward, and now everything is fine,” reported doctor Diana Akhmatova from the Kadamjai District Center for General Medical Practice.
Interestingly, 31 years ago, Kanykey herself was born weighing 5 kg 500 grams and was given the name Kanykey. Now, her son has been named Manas. “In 1995, we celebrated the 1000th anniversary of Manas, and my father, a well-known ulakchy, participated in the celebrations. When I was born, I was named Kanykey, but my parents always said that if they had a son, he would be named Manas. Now, according to tradition, my father has given the name Manas to our son. We hope he grows up to be a strong and worthy person who will serve his people,” said Kanykey Shamshieva.
It is worth noting that Kanykey's previous two sons were also born with a large weight.
