In recent days, issues related to driving schools and obtaining driver's licenses have been actively discussed in society. On this topic, Dairbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy service of the presidential administration, expressed his opinion. According to him, President Sadyr Japarov recently explained in detail the reasons for the relevant issues, which, in his opinion, put an end to many disputes.
Orunbekov noted that earlier some representatives of private driving schools expressed dissatisfaction online, spreading false information and attracting media attention to their position.
He also emphasized that rumors about the alleged cost of training being 100 or 200 thousand soms are not true.
Currently, the official cost of training is set at 19 thousand soms. Students will be required to pay for fuel expenses during practical classes themselves.
This price is significantly lower than in private driving schools, where the total cost of theoretical and practical training reached 35–36 thousand soms," he added.
