In Kyrgyzstan, the deadline for taxi drivers' license issuance will not be extended - raids will begin on February 2
Starting from February 2, 2024, raids aimed at checking the presence of licenses among taxi drivers will begin in the republic. Law enforcement agencies will monitor compliance with legislation in the field of taxi licensing and punish violators.
Currently, more than 7,000 individual drivers and over 300 taxi fleets in the country have received licenses.
The Main Department for Ensuring Road Traffic Safety urges all drivers not to delay the licensing process and to complete it by the established deadline to avoid fines and issues with their work after the raids begin.
It is worth noting that earlier, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev expressed a request to the government to postpone the licensing deadlines for taxis by six months.
