
A new social project has been launched in Kyrgyzstan, which is a 24/7 hotline 5200. The initiative has been implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Social Development, and Migration as part of the state social order.
According to the agency, the hotline has been created for the quick and quality assistance to people who have become victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
By calling the number 5200, citizens can expect free, anonymous, and confidential support. The hotline is staffed by qualified psychologists and consultants who have undergone special training in crisis and violence assistance.
The hotline is available 24/7, without weekends, and operates throughout the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic via all mobile operators.
The main functions of the hotline include:
- psychological assistance to victims of violence and exploitation;
- information about available services and measures to protect the rights of victims;
- consultations on safe shelter, medical, and legal assistance;
- support for relatives and witnesses of violence.
