At a meeting of the committee on labor, health, social issues, and women's affairs of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov reported on the Ministry of Health's plans to optimize the work of state laboratories. This statement was made during the discussion of the bill "On Medical Insurance for Citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic."

In response to deputies' questions about the accessibility of state laboratories for the population, Matkerimov emphasized that work in this direction is already underway.

“We plan to begin the construction of state laboratories in large cities and regional centers. Our goal is to create competition for private clinics, which will make services more accessible and cheaper for citizens. Currently, expensive equipment has been installed in certain state institutions, but it is not being used actively enough. Additionally, maintaining this equipment requires significant costs, and there is a shortage of specialists in the regions,” he noted.

Thus, the creation of centralized state laboratories in cities is planned. Services for insured citizens will be provided for free, while uninsured citizens will be charged lower prices compared to private clinics,” added the Deputy Minister of Health.
