TV channels are required to broadcast emergency alerts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations for free.
According to the new rules, the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has received additional powers. In the event of a threat or an already occurred emergency situation, all telecommunications companies and broadcasting channels, regardless of their ownership structure, are required to broadcast emergency messages free of charge.
This decision was made based on the provisions of the Sanitary Code and the Constitutional Law on the Government.
The new regulations will come into effect ten days after their official publication.
