The Padysha-Ata Nature Reserve has become a favorite spot for tourists — footage of winter nature
According to one of the representatives of public organizations, in 2025, the number of foreign tourists in the region increased by 35-40% compared to previous years. Last year, picturesque places such as Sary-Chelek, Kara-Kamysh, Padysha-Ata, and Arstanbap attracted a large number of visitors from Uzbekistan and various European countries.
“It is quite difficult to determine the exact number of tourists visiting our country, as not everyone crossing the border of Kyrgyzstan is recorded as a tourist. We can only analyze data from guesthouses in our region. Based on our observations, the number of foreigners has increased by 35-40% compared to previous years. We have big plans for this year,” she noted.
The Padysha-Ata Reserve is a protected natural area located in southern Kyrgyzstan. It was established in 2003 and covers an area of 30 hectares. In this reserve, you can find walnuts, apple trees, apricots, cherries, hawthorns, junipers, and many medicinal plants. It is also home to argali, mountain goats, roe deer, wolves, foxes, and rare bird species such as the golden eagle, the steppe eagle, and falcons.
