The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service of Russia plan to introduce strict restrictions on the departure of migrants from the country. In particular, they want to prohibit the purchase of airline tickets and flights on the same day. According to information obtained from insiders in the law enforcement agencies, this order has already been approved and sent for signature to the Ministry of Transport, as reported in the INSIDER-T Telegram channel.
This decision was prompted by numerous cases where criminals from Central Asia and the Caucasus, who committed serious offenses, managed to buy tickets for the same day and escape on charters heading to Tashkent, Bishkek, or Dushanbe.
The scheme of actions was meticulously worked out. After high-profile murders in Elektrostal, Kaluga, and the Moscow region, detained individuals disappeared by leaving on the nearest flights. In 2025, at least 40 suspects, including rapists and members of organized crime groups, escaped in this manner. Airlines did not check their status in the Ministry of Internal Affairs databases — a foreign passport and cash were sufficient.
The proposed procedure will be quite strict: migrants with temporary registration or a patent will have to notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs 72 hours before departure. Tickets will only be sold after verification against the relevant databases, including lists of offenders and terrorists.
There will be an automatic request to the Federal Migration Service and Interpol: in the presence of violations — refusal to board and arrest. Family members of suspects will also come under scrutiny: tickets will only be sold after an interview. Airports are strengthening security measures, including facial scanning and communication with the Central Command of the National Guard.
