Kanybek Dosmambetov, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, announced the start of work on a project to create a modern state laboratory in Bishkek. The information was provided by the ministry's press service.

The new laboratory will be equipped with modern technology and will operate on a digital platform with its own logistics. The project includes the creation of an extensive network of regional units, which should improve the accessibility of diagnostics and reduce the financial burden on the population.

Considering that the current system of state laboratories does not meet modern requirements, it limits the opportunities for timely diagnosis, especially in cases of oncological and other serious diseases. The minister noted that patients often seek help at advanced stages, which is one of the main problems. He emphasized that the lack of an effective laboratory infrastructure directly affects delays in disease diagnosis, adding that an accurate diagnosis is the key to successful treatment.

In addition, the ministry plans to address staffing issues. The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy has been tasked with considering the possibility of opening a faculty to train specialists in laboratory medicine. Medical colleges have been recommended to enhance the training of laboratory technicians. Professor Rysbek Abdildaev, an expert in early diagnosis of oncological diseases with international experience, will be involved for scientific and methodological support of the project.

During a visit to one of the private laboratories, the minister familiarized himself with its infrastructure. He studied the organization of diagnostic processes, quality control, and the implementation of digital technologies. Private laboratories currently perform a significant volume of research, which increases costs for citizens. Dosmambetov believes that the creation of a unified state laboratory center will help alleviate this burden.

The minister also emphasized the need for automation and digital analytics. Effective data exchange and analysis of disease prevalence will allow for better management of the healthcare system and the development of evidence-based medicine.

The ministry will continue to explore logistical and technological models to implement best practices in the new reference laboratory. The project includes the construction of a laboratory from scratch, the purchase of necessary equipment, the creation of a regional network, the development of a logistics system, quality control, and the implementation of a digital platform.
