Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov noted that one of the main problems faced by the healthcare system is the late detection of severe diseases, such as cancerous tumors. Often, patients seek help only at stages 3-4 of the disease, which he believes is related to the insufficient effectiveness of the existing laboratory diagnostics.
"A correct diagnosis is half the success in treatment. For timely and accurate disease diagnosis, the country needs a powerful laboratory infrastructure," emphasized Dosmambetov. In this regard, the Ministry of Health has begun developing a project that involves the creation of a modern state reference laboratory in Bishkek, equipped with advanced technologies, developed logistics, and digital infrastructure. The centralized laboratory, supported by a network of regional divisions, will ensure high quality standards and improve the accessibility of diagnostics for citizens, the department noted.
Additionally, Dosmambetov instructed the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy to consider the possibility of opening a faculty for training laboratory specialists, and for medical colleges to enhance the training of laboratory technicians.
