In 2025, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision recorded 202 fines for vehicle owners, amounting to over 3.7 million soms, for non-compliance with emission standards.
According to the ministry, measures to control air quality and compliance with environmental standards have been strengthened in the country.
Additionally, a ban has been imposed on the import, sale, use, and storage of bulk coal with a fraction of 0-13 mm in the Chui region and the capital. This restriction does not apply to enterprises engaged in the production of thermal energy. Furthermore, programs for the gasification of the population are being implemented, including the provision of preferential loans to homeowners of up to 150,000 soms at an annual interest rate of 3% (instead of the previous 8%), which has already allowed over 51,000 households to be connected.
