From January 22 to 23, snowfall is forecasted in the Chui region and throughout the republic, which will create a risk of ice formation and reduced visibility on the roads.

According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, heavy snowfall, fog, and ice are observed on the Bishkek–Osh highway near the Too-Ashuu pass. Difficult driving conditions due to ice have been recorded on the bypass routes of the Issyk-Ata and Kemin districts, as well as in mountainous areas.

Drivers are advised to:

- Observe speed limits and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.

- Avoid sharp maneuvers, sudden braking, and unnecessary overtaking.

- Check the technical condition of the vehicle before departure, especially the brakes, lighting, and windshield wipers.

- If possible, postpone long trips and trips to mountainous areas until weather conditions improve.

The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region also draws pedestrians' attention to the need to be careful when crossing the road, to follow traffic rules, and to use reflective elements during dark hours and in poor visibility conditions.
