The Mayor of Bishkek Traveled Around the City: Residents' Appeals, Social Facilities, and Streets
Initially, the mayor headed to Buurdinskaya Street, where he held a meeting with residents. As a result of the discussion, it was decided to notify the owners of houses located beyond the red line, as well as to instruct the Land Use Control Department to dismantle light structures along the road and check the legality of the construction at Dostuk, 11/1.
In 2026, the reconstruction of Buurdinskaya Street, which is 1.2 kilometers long, is planned, during which a two-lane road, 2-meter-wide sidewalks, and an updated park will be built.
The next stop was the kindergarten on Kommunarova Street, 93. The mayor instructed the Capital Construction Department to ensure the prompt completion of work and to avoid unjustified extensions of contracts with contractors.
He also emphasized the importance of creating a unified standard for the use of quality building materials at all social facilities so that successful solutions could be applied comprehensively.
As part of the investment project, Aibek Junushaliev visited the reconstructed wastewater treatment facilities. The total cost of the project is 56 million dollars. Two reservoirs and an automated control system with a design capacity of 380,000 cubic meters per day have been put into operation. The mayor instructed to consider the possibility of increasing the capacity to 500,000 cubic meters.
The mayor also got acquainted with the construction progress of the physical culture and health complex in the Maevka residential area, where he held a meeting with local residents. The citizens raised issues concerning street lighting, public transport operations, and the arrangement of bus stops. Relevant services were instructed to promptly address the identified problems.
