At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 22, deputy Dastan Bekeshev expressed concern about the safety of workers at the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk."

During the discussion of amendments to the Law on "Labor Protection," he emphasized that street cleaners start work in the early hours and often work on the roadway, putting their lives at risk.

Bekeshev noted: "Workers go out very early, and their clothing does not have reflective elements. If an accident occurs, the mayor's office only says that the worker will receive insurance payments. But who monitors this situation? Isn't it time to stop sending street cleaners and 'Tazalyk' employees onto the roads? In the 21st century, we need to use machinery."

In response to these words, Deputy Minister of Construction Talantbek Imanakun uulu stated that "Tazalyk" workers are provided with uniforms that have reflective elements. Nevertheless, the deputy pointed out that the presence of special clothing should not justify having people work on the roads where modern machines could be used.

Bekeshev added: "Yes, such machinery is expensive, but in the long run, it will bring significant benefits. The Ministry of Labor should pay attention to this issue."

Deputy Minister of Labor Kamchybek Dosmatov reported that after the adoption of the labor protection bill, a corresponding resolution will be developed, within which this issue can be addressed.
