Deputy Dastan Bekeshev raised a question at a session of the Jogorku Kenesh regarding the number of accidents at construction sites last year. In response, Deputy Minister of Construction Talant Imanakun uulu reported that more than 10 cases were registered in 2025, resulting in various injuries to workers, both minor and severe.
According to Imanakun uulu, the organization has a safety journal, and training and monitoring are conducted on construction sites every month. He noted that some leaders of construction companies and agency employees were detained for insufficient oversight. "We closely monitor each site using online surveillance cameras. Fines totaling 6 million soms have been imposed for violations in the field of technical safety," he added.
Bekeshev also mentioned a case where a resident of Osh approached him, who became disabled after falling while working on the construction of a nine-story building. He complained about insufficient compensation for his injuries and asked who is responsible for oversight in such situations. The deputy also expressed concern about accidents occurring with employees of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk," who go out early in the morning to clean the roads. "This practice needs to be stopped; let the machinery go out on the roads," he emphasized.
In response, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration Kamchybek Dosmatov stated that the relevant Labor Protection Service of the ministry conducts unscheduled inspections and responds to incoming complaints.
Imanakun uulu added that employees of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" and other utility services should be provided with special clothing equipped with LED elements to enhance safety.
