Services in state hospitals of Kyrgyzstan will increase in price by 35-50%
In Kyrgyzstan, an increase in tariffs for medical services provided in state medical institutions is planned. This decision is related to granting greater autonomy to 20 state healthcare organizations. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has submitted the corresponding draft law for public discussion.
According to the Ministry of Health, state hospitals are currently experiencing a lack of financial and managerial independence, which negatively affects their competitiveness compared to the private sector. For example, the cost of medical services in state hospitals is 2-3 times lower than in private clinics.
According to preliminary estimates, the expected increase in prices for services in state hospitals will range from 35% to 50%. The methodology for calculating new tariffs, taking into account social needs, will be developed jointly by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the Ministry of Health.
