Ministry of Labor: Compliance with Professional Standards in Private Enterprises is Checked Only Upon Requests
At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Toktobu Ashymbaeva asked the First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Kamchybek Dosmatov how the ministry monitors compliance with professional standards in the private sector.
In response, the deputy minister stated that there is a sector in the ministry responsible for professional standards, which actively collaborates with various agencies. Each of them has the opportunity to make proposals for the development of these standards.
Ashymbaeva also clarified whether the ministry has the authority to conduct inspections of private companies.
Dosmatov explained that such authority is lacking. Currently, methodologies are being developed in collaboration with relevant vocational schools, and at this time, 76 professional standards have been approved.
Additionally, the deputy inquired about the frequency of inspections of private enterprises.
The deputy minister noted that inspections are conducted only upon request.
