40 new vehicles are planned to be delivered to the Bishkek Emergency Medical Center

The update of the vehicle fleet of the Emergency Medical Center in Bishkek has become one of the pressing topics. The director of the EMS, Iskender Shayahemtov, shared information in an interview with the "Kabar" agency, discussing the issue of the shortage of vehicles for the service.

Currently, the Center has 83 vehicles, however, about 30% of them cannot be used. At the moment, 42 ambulance teams are operating on the line.

“The Ministry of Health intends to transfer 40 new vehicles to us this year. The delivery will be carried out in two stages, which will significantly simplify our work,” noted Shayahemtov.

In addition, the Bishkek city administration has allocated premises for the placement of ambulance stations in the villages of Maevka and Jal, but due to the need for repair work and a lack of transport, these points have not yet been opened.

In the "Kok-Zhar" microdistrict, a Family Medicine Center and an ambulance station have already been built, where it is planned to deploy the work of five teams. The first 18 new vehicles will be sent specifically to these units.

“As soon as the new cars arrive, we will immediately launch these stations. As a result, the total number of ambulance stations in Bishkek will increase to ten,” added the director of the EMS.
