The deputy raised issues regarding the construction of schools and the status of the village in the Osh region.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Nurjamal Torobekova raised important issues regarding the status of the village of Ojor, located in the Mady Kara-Suu district of the Osh region. She pointed out the necessity of granting this area official village status.
According to her, about 500 families live in Ojor, the majority of whom are ethnic Kyrgyz and young couples.
Torobekova noted that in 2003, a plot was allocated for the construction of a health post, kindergarten, and school. However, no work has begun to date. As a result, children have to study in the village of Bash-Bulak, where the school, designed for 480 places, is overcrowded — about 1,900 students are enrolled there, which creates serious problems, she explained.
In addition, the deputy expressed concern about the village of Kyzyl-Tal, which has 1,700 families and more than 5,000 residents, and where there is also no school.
“Children are forced to travel to the city, which takes about an hour. There is also an irrigation problem: there is no irrigation water in this area, which complicates agricultural activities,” the deputy added.
